Friends, Romans, Bunny Chow fans; lend me your ears, and let’s make some stew…
It’s been a while, and we’ve certainly got plenty to report, the only problem being deciding where to start?
The beginning is normally the best place, but then how can we tell the beginning without reaching the end first? Big questions indeed, and big question no doubt deserve big answers to boot, but let’s drop all the faux intellectualism straight away and get on to the film right?
Right!
First up, for those of you who don’t know, we’ve got an award winning South African comedy called Bunny Chow: Know Thyself, directed by John Barker, that we’re releasing in the UK on 21st March. It’ll be hitting the screens in London at the ICA first up before being rolled out and featuring at select cinemas nationwide – if you don’t live in the London area and travelling ain’t your thing, petition your local picture palace and get them on the Bunny Chow: Know Thyself band wagon!! You know it makes sense.
By the way, you can book your tickets for the ICA now by following this link…
We’re also happy to announce the first winner of our CD soundtrack giveaway – Sean Sloan racked his brain before finally dropping science and getting back to us with the correct answer that, yes, Bunny Chow: Know Thyself was indeed made in South Africa. Good knowledge Shaun, respect to the brain. He was the first of 10 lucky winners to get back to us in time to win an exclusive CD soundtrack of the film and we’re pleased to be able to announce that the soundtrack comp is back by dope demand. To win a copy of the soundtrack, be one of the first 10 respondents to answer the following question and email your answer through to bunny-chow@hotmail.co.uk:
Question: Who directed Bunny Chow: Know Thyself?
If that one’s flummoxed you, try scanning up a couple of paragraphs, the road to enlightenment lies there Confucius… If South African dub/ funk and all-round good time vibe music is your thing, you’ve gotta get hold of a copy!!

We also want to give out a lot of thanks to our new partners SA Times , and Rafikis who’ve seen the light and come on board the good ship Bunny Chow: Know Thyself offering loads of support to the project – there are some choppy waters ahead, but with such a solid crew on board, you know we’ll find dry land eventually. We also want to say a big thanks to Julia and the guys at SA Wines Online for their help. We’re still on the look out for partners and assistance in any get up or guise they may take, so if you think you can help, drop us a line at bunny-chow@hotmail.co.uk. If nothing else, it’ll be nice to hear from you I’m sure…
I also want to say a big personal thanks to Jenny from Bangor University who dropped us a line a couple of days ago about a project she’s working on. We were able to give her some info about independent film distribution and marketing and she’ll be using Bunny Chow: Know Thyself as an example when she gives a presentation to her class on the perils and pitfalls of such ventures and I’m sure you’ll want to join me in wishing Jenny all the luck she no doubt deserves!!
Good luck girl, knock ‘em dead!!
Other than that, things are continuing at a devilish pace over here. My man Steve is helping me with the Myspace page, so the next time we blog, we could have something sexy, new, and all things Myspace for you to take a gander at…
So, keep spreading the word, and remember “To Err Is Human, To Forgive Divine … but to “Know Thyself…”” Now you’re talking!!
I’m out like Bunny Chow: Know Thyself on March 21st!!
